Michigan State commit Nia Hollie scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Hopkins took down Orono 76-69 in a battle of two of the top teams in the state.

The Royals (9-1), ranked No. 2 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News, also received 14 points from Hampton commit Ashley Bates and 11 points from Paige Bueckers.

The No. 1-3A Spartans (8-1) led by as much as nine points in the second half, but Hopkins used a 12-0 run over the final 3 minutes, 54 seconds to hand Orono its first loss of the season.

Danielle Jorgenson and Tori Andrew scored 17 points and 16 points, respectively, to pace the Spartans.
