Willmar at Hutchinson
7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12

While Willmar isn’t ranked in Class 3A's top 10 yet, the Cardinals (1-0), who were ranked 15th in the preseason poll by Minnesota Basketball News, could be soon.

With Willmar still searching to replace the scoring output of Courtney Magnuson and Kaitlyn Kienholz this season, senior Lexi Orlowski figures to pick up the slack.

The Cardinals will be No. 2-3A Hutchinson’s third straight game against a solid Class 3A opponent, and the Tigers - who defeated No. 6-ranked Marshall and play at No. 10-ranked Holy Angels on Dec. 8 - need all challenges they can get before having to face No.1-3A Orono twice in Wright County East Conference play.

Hutchinson gets its scoring from Tori Wortz and Morgan Kurth, who already have season-highs of 21 and 24 points, respectively.
