Rochester Mayo has given up just 37.6 ppg this season, and that defense was on full display in the No. 8-4A Spartans’ 49-45 win over Minnetonka at the Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic.

While Anna Winter (15.7 ppg) is the main scoring option for Mayo (3-0), Courtney Hruska and Olivia Korngable have each tallied 23 points in a game this season.

Winona (2-0) is led by Hallee Hoeppner, who scored 23 points in the No. 4-3A Winhawks’ 85-56 drubbing of Chisago Lakes at Saturday's showcase.
