New Prague is on a roll, entering the week on a four-game winning streak. The No. 6-3A Trojans (8-2) outscored opponents by 29.0 points per game during the run.

New Prague's only losses are to No. 9-4A Shakopee (75-41) and No. 1-4A Hopkins (77-57). Sophomore guard Maizie Deihl (17.5 ppg) and sophomore forward Taylor Hustad (10.0 ppg) are carrying the scoring load.

Waseca hasn’t faced the same type of high-level of competition as New Prague, but the Blue Jays (8-2) did defeat defending Class 2A state champion New Richland-Heartland-Ellendale-Geneva 62-59 in the season opener. Waseca’s two losses were by a combined eight points.

Senior guard Mikayla Rolling (13.9 ppg) and senior center Kirsten Simmons (10.2 ppg) power the Blue Jays' offense.
