Rookie guards Robinson, Alexander waived by team

The Lynx waived Angel Robinson and Kachine Alexander, two rookie guards with Minnesota roots, and traded 6-5 center Quanitra Hollingsworth to the New York Liberty on Friday for the right to exchange third-round picks in the 2012 draft.

Robinson played high school basketball for St. Paul Central, Alexander for Benilde-St. Margaret's.
