Braham's<br>Rebekah Dahlman

Championship: Braham 68, Minnehaha Academy 61

Minnehaha Academy knew it had to keep a close eye on Braham's Rebekah Dahlman -- and the Redhawks' tight defense did just that, hounding the Bombers' sophomore star to just 3-of-13 shooting. But Dahlman went 17-of-18 from the free throw line for 23 points and added 12 rebounds as Braham claimed the Class AA state title at Target Center. The game was a rematch of last year's championship, which was won by Minnehaha Academy. Kelsey Sorenson-Giffrow took advantage of the extra attention on Dahlman to hit 4-of-9 three-pointers for 20 points for Braham (30-2), while Katie Nickles added 10 points. Sarina Baker slashed and cut her way to 25 points and 11 rebounds for the Redhawks (23-6). Gabbi Stienstra chippped in with 14 points before fouling out in the final minutes.
