When Providence Academy and Braham last squared off, Bombers reserve forward Austyn Eng won it with a buzzer-beater, her only basket of the game.

When the teams met Friday in the 2A semifinals, Braham's sophomore scoring leader Rebekah Dahlman did her best to make sure it wouldn't be that close again, leading the Bombers to a 59-50 victory with her signature intensity and pure scoring ability.

After a late first-half run by Providence, Braham led 21-20 at the break.

Dahlman, who had nine points in the first half came out firing in the second. She knocked down a three-pointer right away, and her teammate Kelsey Sorenson-Giffrow followed with two quick treys of her own.

So went the second half, with Dahlman and Sorenson-Giffrow putting on an offensive clinic from close-, medium-, and long-range.

Providence fought hard, but could do little to slow down Dahlman, who averages 30.9 points per game and fouled out with 26 points with 1:11 remaining.

With a minute and a half to go, Braham guard Liz Anderson went down with an ankle injury and had to be helped off the court – she would return to the bench on crutches in the closing seconds.
