Taylor Finley picked an opportune time to step out and hit the Lions’ first three-pointer. It gave No. 3 Providence Academy (26-4) a two-point lead with 9:09 left, and the rest was left up to its methodical offensive attack.

Finley’s three-pointer came in the midst of a 9-0 run. No. 10 St. Peter (24-4) took its largest lead of the second half, 29-24, with 11:42 remaining, but the Saints made only one shot the rest of the way.

“We just had to stay patient, and let the game came to us,” Finley said. “I was just doing whatever I had to in order to help us win.”

AnnMarie Healy had 15 points to lead the way for the Lions. Finley finished with 10.
