Northern Freeze headed back to state

Playoff push sparks second-consecutive tournament berth

Liza Hoglo and a pressure defense sparked Northern Freeze to a second consecutive championship in the Class 1A, Section 8 girls high school basketball tournament.

Hoglo’s 20 points led the Freeze in a 75-47 win against Red Lake County Central in the 8A title game Saturday.
