This time of year, Phillis Webb says she just feels different when she enters games.

You can tell.

The sophomore forward went off for 22 points (including 15 in the first half) and pushed seventh-ranked Osseo to a 66-49 victory over Roseville and to a spot in the Class 5AA sectional final.

“I feel like it’s an all-or-nothing game at this point,” she said. “You gotta bring it or go home. And I feel like this team is so good, I really think we could we could make it to the state tournament.”

Roseville got off to a quick 9-2 lead on two consecutive layups by Alyssa Favilla, but Osseo turned the momentum right around, going on a Webb-fueled 30-12 run of its own to end the half at 32-21.

Meanwhile, the Raiders struggled to hit their shots and finish plays, and the Jacqlyn Poss-to-Megan Stuart screen-and-roll was all but muted as the Orioles dictated defense and pace.

“Our defense is kind of our core signature,” coach Joey Waters said. “And offensively, we look to be patient. If we do that, we’re tough to beat.”
