The Class 3A rankings have been topsy-turvy this season as the order seems to reshuffle every week.

The latest shakeup has Northfield rising to the top of the Minnesota Basketball News rankings, but how long the Raiders stay at No. 1 remains to be seen, especially with Big 9 Conference rival Winona coming to town eager to avenge a loss earlier this season. The teams enter the week tied top the league standings.

The Winhawks started the season at No. 2 in the Class 3A rankings, and after sliding down, they have have climbed back to No. 7 this week.

Northfield, which began the year at No. 15, has slowly ascended in the rankings, and clinched its current (and possibly tenuous) position due in part to a 61-43 victory over Winona on Jan. 30.

But Friday's matchup is more than an opportunity for the Winhawks to take down the No. 1-ranked team in Class 3A. With a victory, Winona could make a case it -- not Northfield -- should be the top seed in the Section 1 playoffs.

With so much at stake in one game, the meeting between the Winhawks and the Raiders is a no-brainer for our Top Game of the Week.
