St. Michael-Albertville 59, Chisago Lakes 39. St. Michael's Rae Johnson was only two points shy of their school career scoring record entering the contest. The record was previously held by Rachel Jobes who graduated in 2001 with 1,603 points. Johnson came out and had a great game to break St. Michaels' all-time scoring record, with 21 points in the game. She was 4 for 11 for 3 pt field goals and also contributed with 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Johnson now is the all-time leading scorer for St. Michael-Albertville with 1,622 points.

Annandale 62, Watertown-Mayer 60. The Cardinals (12-9, 4-4) defended their home court and narrowly defeated a ranked opponent. Kamryn D’Heilly scored 24 points for Annandale in the win. Claire Killian’s 19 points paced No. 4-2A Watertown-Mayer in defeat. Watertown also received contributions from Monika Czinano (16 points) and Kirsten Klitze (15 points).

Hopkins 73, Edina 52. Another day brought another victory for the state’s top program. No. 1-4A Hopkins (22-0, 6-0) rode a game-high 25 points from Raena Suggs. Angie Hammond added 19 points in the Lions’ win. South Dakota State-bound senior Macy Nilsen led Edina in scoring with 18 points and Colorado-bound senior Annika Jank chipped in 16 for the Hornets.

Lakeville North 75, Prior Lake 62. Mere days after being named a finalist for Minnesota’s Miss Basketball award, Creighton-bound senior Temi Carda’s 18 points led the No. 3-4A Panthers (20-2, 13-1) to a win on the road at Prior Lake. Olivia Bruce, who will be playing soccer at Drake University next season, was right behind Carda with 17 points. Junior McKenna Hofschild led Prior Lake with 24 points in the loss. Hofschild’s 474 points ranks eighth in the state.

East Ridge 65, Roseville 61. East Ridge (17-5, 9-3) vaulted themselves into first place in the Suburban East Conference with a win over rival Roseville (18-4, 10-3) on Friday night. Senior Noelle Tomes scored a season-high 27 points for East Ridge as the Raptors made their case for inclusion among the top-10 rankings. Senior Kaia Porter led the No. 9-4A Raiders in defeat with 22 points.

Elk River 86, Minnetonka 62. No. 2-4A Elk River (23-0, 10-0) remained undefeated, crushing Minnetonka by 24 points on the road. The Elks outscored the Skippers 46-21 in the first half. Ava Kramer and Gabi Haack shared the scoring lead for Elk River, each dropping 24 points in victory. Haack’s 579 points ranks her second statewide and her average of 26.3 points per game ranks fifth. Junior Kayla Mershon led Minnetonka (10-10, 2-3) by scoring 20 points. The young forward has received much national attention throughout the season as a top recruit in the class of 2018. Megan Walker chipped in 16 points for the Skippers.
