Player of the Week candidates for Jan. 2-7

This week's winner

Betsy Schoenrock, New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva. The junior center led the Panthers with 31 points and 14 assists in a 79-50 win over Kenyon-Wanamingo.

The other candidates

Heather Cormier, Liberty Classical. The junior forward had 15 points, 23 rebounds and five assists in a 47-43 win over St. Paul Prep.

Alexis Doucette, Littlefork-Big Falls. The senior center contributed 20 points and 11 rebounds in a dominating 64-37 victory over Blackduck.

Grace Ennis, Trinity School at River Ridge. The senior guard led the Tri Hawks with 18 points, 12 rebounds and three assists in a nail-biting 60-58 victory against St. Paul Humboldt.

Emma Grothaus, Mahtomedi. The junior forward and Lehigh commit had an impressive 35 points and 26 rebounds in a 71-67 loss to St. Paul Como Park.

Morgan Hill, Minneapolis South. The high scoring continues for the junior guard, who dropped 39 points and tallied 14 rebounds in a 77-64 victory over Lakeville South. Hill is ranked second in the state for points with 295 this season.

Rae Johnson, St. Michael-Albertville. The senior guard scored 30 points in a 69-57 win over Eastview.

Madeline Loder, Orono. The junior guard tallied 33 points, seven rebounds and four assists in a 86-76 win over Hutchinson.

Lindsey Theuninck, Mankato Loyola. The senior guard put up 33 points in a 60-56 win over GHEC-Truman-Martin Luther.

Allie Wojtysiak, Cloquet. The sophomore forward had 20 points, 11 rebounds and an assist in a 60-52 win over Proctor.
