Class 4A

The only change in the Class 4A top ten is a No. 5 and No. 6 swap between East Ridge (6-2, 1-0) and Apple Valley (9-1, 2-0), which comes after the Eagles defeated the Raptors 72-56. Brynne Rolland of Apple Valley contributed a season-high 24 points in the win.

Second-ranked Eastview (8-1, 2-0), No. 3 Centennial (9-0, 2-0), and No. 4 Elk River (9-0, 2-0) each held tight to their high position in the rankings with one win each in the past week to remain undefeated (Eastview would lose its first game of the year to No. 1 Hopkins on Friday, Dec 30). Allie Pickrain accounted for nearly half of her team’s scoring with 26 points to lead Eastview to a 60-49 win over Park of Cottage Grove. Four Centennial players each contributed 13 or more points in its 72-48 win over White Bear Lake.

Class 3A

Four Class 3A top ten teams remain undefeated, with three of them collecting at least eight wins to start the season. New Ulm (9-0, 3-0) is the latest team to break in to the top ten after their most recent win against No. 10-1A Sleepy Eye.

St. Anthony (8-2) won its only game of the week. After losing the first game of the season, the Huskies have won the past seven, including an 82-39 victory over Richfield. Kalli Wiebusch had 21 points in the win to lead St. Anthony.

After starting the season 4-0 and at the top of the rankings, Hutchinson (4-3) has lost 3 in a row and has moved down to No. 8 this week
