Eastview had no trouble dismantling defending Class 4A state champion Minnetonka Saturday night, posting a 74-48 victory at the Breakdown Tip Off Classic at Hopkins High School.
The Lightning (3-0) got 14 first-half points from Kansas State recruit Rachel Ranke and 11 from Macy Guebert to build a 43-19 halftime lead. Ranke and Guebert didn't score again in the second half but Eastview, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News, didn't need them to.
Allie Pickrain scored all 17 of her points in the second half to reach double figures.
The Skippers (1-2) got 16 points from Megan Walker, 15 of which came in the second half.
