Centennial (2-0) took a 30-17 lead after the first half and never looked back, cruising to a 64-44 win over Alexandria.
The Cougars, No. 8 in the latest Minnesota Basketball News Class 4A rankings, got 13 points from junior guard Claire Orth and 12 from 6-foot-3 sophomore center Sara Stapleton.
Alexandria’s Macy Hatlestad, a senior guard, was the game’s high-scorer with 14 points for the No. 2-3A Cardinals (2-1).
