Fireworks will fly when Roseau and Mountain Iron-Buhl meet Friday in a matchup of high-powered offenses.
Roseau averages 80.4 points per game paced by junior Kiley Borowicz, who enters the week fourth in the state in scoring average at 27.1 ppg.
The Rams (15-2, 7-1), ranked No. 9 in Class 2A by Minnesota Basketball News, have built off of last season, when they reached the Class 2A semifinals, and appear on track for another deep run with Borowicz leading the charge.
Mountain Iron-Buhl posts an impressive 82.8 ppg, led by junior guard Chelsea Mason, who recently eclipsed 2,000 career points.
After three straight first-round exits from the Class 1A state tournament, the No. 2-1A Rangers (17-1) seem ready to make the trend history and enter the week with 15 consecutive victories since a loss to No. 1-1A Goodhue on Dec. 5.
With two dominant scorers at the helm of fast-paced offenses, this matchup has the potential to light up the scoreboard with some big numbers, making it our Top Game of the Week.
