As the girls' basketball season enters the final two weeks of the regular season, Hopkins seems the odds-on favorite to take home the Lake Conference title and earn the top seed in the Class 4A, Section 6 playoffs. The Royals (21-1) are ranked No. 1 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News and sit atop the league standings at 5-0.

But it's the battle for second place in both the conference and the section that we spotlight this week as Minnetonka and Edina are set to square off.

The No. 4 Skippers (18-4, 3-2) have a 1-2 record against section opponents and need to win to avoid giving the Hornets the seedings edge.

No. 7 Edina (16-6, 3-3), meanwhile, is 1-3 versus section foes and could cement its case to be seeded higher than Minnetonka with a victory.

With section seeding and conference standings on the line, this matchup between the Skippers and the Hornets is our pick for the Top Game of the Week.
