The annual Minnesota girls’ basketball coaches association all-star series will be held April 26 at Carleton College. The event will showcase 40 seniors from around the state.

There will be two games featuring the senior class, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and free for children and students younger than 18. An opening ceremony will be held April 25 at the Northfield Middle School.

Northfield forward Anna Pfefferle will take part in the series in her hometown.

Two other metro players from south of the Minnesota River will participate in the event. They are Jordan guard Madison Dean and Rosemount guard Hannah Grim.

The games will showcase five Miss Basketball nominees. They are Kenisha Bell of Bloomington Kennedy, Chase Coley of Minneapolis Washburn, Cayla McMorris of Park Center, Briana Rasmusson of Fergus Falls and Carlie Wagner of New Richland-Hartland-Elendale-Geneva.

Four of the five will be playing Division I basketball — Bell at Marquette, Coley at Iowa, McMorris at Wisconsin and Wagner at Minnesota. Rasmusson will play Division I volleyball at North Dakota State.

The Miss Basketball award winner will be announced after the second game of the series.
