The senior point guard leads the Raptors, who are challenging for the Suburban East title, in scoring and assists. He and his teammates are hoping to go well beyond a first-round section tournament loss last season.

Your season so far? We are playing well as a team. We have some big games coming up against Roseville and White Bear Lake before we play Cretin-Derham Hall again.

What is your pregame ritual? I always eat a Jersey Mike’s sandwich and a clementine.

Favorite pregame anthem? “Lose Yourself” by Eminem

Someone you look up to? My dad. He has coached me since youth sports and I have learned a lot from him.

After high school? I want to play basketball. I haven’t made a decision on where yet, but I really want to keep playing.

Career plans? I want to study medicine in college and eventually go to medical school.

What has playing high school sports taught you? That friendships and bonds between teammates are some of the most important parts of having a good team.

Final shot. Game on the line. Are you comfortable taking the shot? If I am open, I’m taking the shot, but I’m not afraid to find an open teammate.

Ultimate goal in life? Whether it is in medicine or coaching, I want to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
