Park Center gives Kennedy another loss

• PARK CENTER 64, BLOOMINGTON KENNEDY 59: The Eagles rough weekend continued as they dropped their second consecutive game in as many days Saturday at Hopkins High School. Wisconsin commit Cayla McMorris sparked the upset with a game-high 25 points for the Pirates, who led by as many as 16 in the second half. Mikayla Hayes and Ann Simonet had 12 and 11 points, respectively, for the Pirates. Kenisha Bell led the Eagles, the Class 4A state runner-up last season, with 21 points.

• LAKEVILLE NORTH 52, FOREST LAKE 51: The Panthers relied on strong defense and a hot hand from junior Polly Sjoberg to stave off the Rangers in a battle of Class 4A heavyweights. Sjoberg scored 17 points for the Panthers, who lost three of their top scorers from the season before. Miranda Rice was the lone Ranger in double-figures with 16 points.

• LAKEVILLE SOUTH 42, EDEN PRAIRIE 39: The Eagles had a chance to tie the score on the last possession of the game, but a loose ball ended up in the hands of the Cougars. Boston College commit Emily Quandt led Lakeville South with 13 points. Jayla Mayes-Jackson had 12 points for the Eagles.

• MAPLE GROVE 57, ROCHESTER JOHN MARSHALL 42: The Crimson built a 13-point halftime lead on its way to a rout in the first game of the tournament. Jamie Ruden had a game-high 20 points for the Rockets, who pulled within five points in the second half. Kaela Jones had 17 points for Maple Grove.
