Kaitlyn Quandt took advantage of the early signing period to sign a tender with Boston College’s women’s basketball team. Here is a closer look at Quandt, who is a 6-4 center:

The best movie you’ve seen in the last year? “Despicable Me 2.”

Three words your friends or teammates might use to describe you: Tall; nice; caring.

Three songs you never skip on your iPod are … “Mountain Sound” by Of Monsters and Men; “Carried Away” by Passion Pit; and “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic.

At my first varsity practice, I felt … excited while also nervous.

What did you work on most in the offseason? My strength, footwork and post moves.

What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete? Being part of a team that has had the most successful season since Lakeville South opened in 2005. [A year ago the Cougars finished with an overall record of 17-10.]

What are your goals for the upcoming season? To help our team have an even more successful year and make it to the state tournament.

How do you balance school and sports during the year? I have learned how to use my time wisely and try to work ahead.

– and if so, what is it? I can juggle.

What is the best sports advice you ever received? “To never give up” and “have fun.”
