Hopkins ran the table in Lake Conference girls basketball with an 8-0 record. That was surprising in one respect because going undefeated in the Lake is difficult in any sport. But in another respect, Hopkins, the two-time defending state Class 4A champion, was supposed to win big. The Royals put an exclamation point on their undefeated Lake season by decimating Eden Prairie 70-39 in their final conference game Feb. 19.
