Rebekah Dahlman scored 41 points, including the 4,000th point of her illustrious career, leading Braham past Park Center, 75-68 in the Breakdown's Tip Off Classic at Hopkins' Lindbergh Center.
As she has done hundreds -- no, thousands -- of times in her varsity career, Dahlman got her milestone points the hard way. Already nursing an injured ankle, she drove hard into the lane and hit the layup despite contact that knocked her to the floor. She slowly rose from the hard wood and drained the "and-one" free throw for her 4,000th point.
Dahlman had left the game briefly in the second half after twisting her ankle. At the time, Park Center led by four and was rolling behind Cayla McMorris (35 points). But after a short rest, Dahlman limped back into the game -- and it was all Bombers from that point forward.
Kayla Nickles (16 points) and Jaclyn Hollenkamp (11) also scored in double figures for the Bombers, while Hannah Schaub added 15 for Park Center.
