A former member of the Albert Lea High School administration did nothing when presented with description from students of the possibility of an inappropriate relationship between a teacher and a student, an investigation has revealed.

Immediately after varsity girls’ basketball players in January approached then-Albert Lea High School Activities Director John Double about what they had noticed between their coach, Sean Gillam and a fellow player, they felt like he didn’t believe them.

Three days later, Double spoke to them again. According to players and according to a source familiar with the district investigation, Double told the players he looked into the matter and told them nothing happened.
