DeLaSalle coach, 3 others to be inducted into state group

Faith Johnson Patterson is among four people to be inducted to the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame on Friday.

She coached at Minneapolis North before coming to DeLaSalle, where she has guided the Islanders to back-to-back Class 3A state championships. Johnson Patterson is the first black woman coach to be inducted.

Other inductees are Kevin Anderson (Minneapolis South and Osseo), Paul Fessler (Concordia [St. Paul] and Anoka Ramsey) and Roger Taylor (Martin County West).
