No. 8-3A Minneapolis Washburn at No. 1-2A NRHEG
3:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18 at Owatonna

This game doesn’t feature teams from the same conference, section or even class. There is no natural rivalry, nor past history. What does it have? Two of the best seniors in the state in what is sure to be a showcase performance. Minneapolis Washburn is led by center Chase Coley, an Iowa recruit who has set numerous records for blocked shots and rebounds, but can also bring the ball up the court. NRHEG has guard Carlie Wagner, a Minnesota recruit who has rewritten the state tournament scoring records in each of the last two years. In a 60-59 win over Braham in the state Class 2A final last March, Wagner exploded for a record 50 points and finished with a record 129 points in three games.
