Minneapolis Edison vs. Minneapolis North

7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 15

Another intracity matchup rounds out the top games this week, as Minneapolis Edison travels to face league foe Minneapolis North.

No games have been played in the Minneapolis City Conference this season, so these teams will both be looking for a perfect start to the conference season.

North, last year's runner-up, and Edison, the third-place finisher, were both looking up at conference foe Minneapolis South, which had an undefeated league record last season. Completing the conference schedule undefeated is a tall order for both of these programs, but a win in the opener could go a long way for either team.

This is especially true for the Tomcats (0-3), who have yet to win a game this season. Sierra Morrow is averaging 20 points per game, but that hasn’t been enough to get the Tomcats in the win column yet.

The Polars are led by the dynamic duo of Monique Wooten (15.7 ppg) and Tiffany McNeil (15.5 ppg), who are both averaging over 15 points this season. Those two will help protect home court for the Polars (3-3) on Friday, and they may end up being too much for the Tomcats to handle.
