White Bear Lake vs. Roseville
7:15 p.m., Friday, Feb. 24

This week will be a staring contest featuring White Bear Lake, Roseville and East Ridge. They all own 10-4 Suburban East Conference records and whichever team blinks will likely tumble out of contention for the league title, including the loser in Friday's matchup between the Bears and Raiders.

White Bear Lake (16-8, 10-4) has won six of its past seven games, but the one loss, a 47-40 stumble to East Ridge last week, caused a logjam atop the league standings. The Bears bounced back by beating Cretin-Derham Hall 51-39 behind 14 points from Jordan Ferrand and 10 from Sophie Janicki and maintained their share of the top spot.

Roseville (19-5, 10-4) has spent most of the season leading the race for the Suburban East title, but a 65-61 loss to East Ridge and a 65-57 loss to Forest Lake less than two weeks ago paved the way for White Bear Lake and East Ridge to jump back in the picture.

Jayda Johnston had 15 points while Kaia Porter scored 14 and Jolisa Ross added 11 for the Raiders in the loss to Forest Lake.
