Mountain Iron-Buhl vs. Cromwell-Wright

Mountain Iron-Buhl has two games this week against teams ranked in Class 1A's top 10, starting with No. 4-1A Cromwell-Wright on Monday.

The Rangers recorded their first loss of the season on Feb. 3, falling to No.1-2A Roseau 80-67. They responded with two blowout wins, including a 93-30 victory over Cherry on Feb. 9. Chelsea Mason scored 36 points and Mary Burke added 20 for Mountain Iron-Buhl.

Cromwell-Wright has a 10-game winning streak and was impressive in an 82-53 win over Barnum on Feb. 6. Chelsea Swatek had a team-high 21 points and Taya Hakamaki scored 20 for the Cardinals. Bailey Gronner added 15 points while Shaily Hakamaki and Teana Hakamaki each finished with 12 in the win. 

The Cardinals could benefit from a similar offensive output when facing the Rangers this time around. Cromwell-Wright (19-2, 15-0) proved to be a challenge in a 66-61 loss to Mountain Iron-Buhl on Dec. 29 -- the smallest margin of victory for the Rangers this year.
