Centennial vs. Elk River
7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17

Elk River will try to keep its undefeated record intact this week against Northwest Suburban Conference North Division rival Centennial.

The No. 2-4A Elks (23-0, 10-0) eked out a 61-57 win over the No. 6-4A Cougars on Jan. 12 thanks to 28 points from Gabi Haack

Haack is the state’s second-leading scorer at 26.3 points per game and has shown no signs of slowing down, but it's not a one-woman show in Elk River, as Ava Kramer (13.1 ppg) and Sidney Wentland (10.6 ppg) are producing on offense as well.

Centennial (18-4, 8-2) might be the final hurdle in the Elks' run to a second consecutive division title.

The Cougars snapped their seven-game winning streak with a 64-60 loss to No. 13-4A Champlin Park on on Feb. 9. Sara Stapleton had a team-high 18 points and Sydney Stapleton finished with 10 for Centennial.
