Cedar Mountain-Comfrey and Mankato Loyola reached last year's Class 1A, Section 2 semifinals, and the teams are eying another run this season. They tangle Tuesday in a possible postseason preview.

Cedar Mountain-Comfrey opened this season with a nine-game winning streak, but have lost two of its last three games. The No. 15-1A Cougars (13-3, 8-2) bounced back with a 59-44 win over Wabasso on Jan. 27, as Lauren Boyle finished with a team-high 14 points. Taylor Rose added 12 points and Paige Richert had 10 in the win.

Mankato Loyola is coming off a 67-52 loss on to St. Peter on Jan. 26, its first defeat in eight games. The No. 5-1A Crusaders (14-3, 9-0) are looking for win behind the offensive production of Lindsay Theuninck (27.3 ppg) and RaeAnn Dose (13.8 ppg).
