Centennial vs. Andover
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31

After posting back-to-back losses to Park Center and Elk River earlier in January, Centennial has bounced back with a four-game winning streak. The No. 6-4A Cougars will try to extend that streak against an Andover team nipping at its heels in the Northwest Suburban Conference North Division standings.

Centennial (15-3, 6-1) sits in second place behind Elk River while Andover is hovering in fourth. The Cougars took the first meeting 76-54 and will try to pick up the series sweep by utilizing its depth. Sara Stapleton leads the team in scoring with 14.9 ppg, but four others average 9.0 points a game.

A 68-56 loss on Jan. 27 to No. 2-4A Elk River snapped Andover's six-game winning streak. Miss Minnesota Basketball candidate Jolene Daninger led the Huskies (12-6, 3-4) with 27 points in the loss. Daninger is averaging 20.1 ppg this season.

Amanda Dagostino has given the No. 19-4A Huskies another scoring threat, averaging 10.3 ppg.
