Hutchinson vs. Orono

Hutchinson has recovered from losing five of eight games between Dec. 15 and Jan. 13 with a five-game winning streak, and the Tigers will be looking for a bit of revenge after losing 86-76 to No. 3-3A Orono on Jan. 6. 

Tori Wortz had 19 points while Morgan Kurth and MaKenzie Rensch added 14 each for No. 9-3A Hutchinson in a 61-44 win over Buffalo on Jan. 28, and they will need keep providing solid offense for the Tigers (11-5, 3-1) if they want to take down the Spartans this time.

Orono (16-3, 5-0) can create further separation in the Wright County Conference East Division standings with a win, regardless of the result between Hutchinson and New Prague on Tuesday.  

Natalie Smaron is averaging 10.8 points and 12.8 rebounds a game, giving the Spartans an additional threat outside of Tori Andrew (20.6 ppg) and Madeline Loder (18 ppg). Smaron has reached double figures in scoring in the past three games.
