For Roseau, the offense often begins on defense, where the Rams are averaging 17.1 steals per game. Roseau is in fine defensive form coming into this game after totaling 26 steals and five blocks on Jan. 24 in an 84-27 victory over Goodridge-Grygla-Gatzke.

Mountain Iron-Buhl's defense has also been critical to its success, with the Rangers averaging 16.9 steals per game. 

On the other side of the ball, Mountain Iron-Buhl has also demonstrated an ability to beat a press, as highlighted by a 78-34 victory on Dec. 3 over then No. 1-ranked Goodhue.

Chelsea Mason leads the Rangers with 20.9 ppg and is supported by Mary Burke (18.1 ppg), Mya Buffetta (12.2 ppg) and Allie Negen (11.1 ppg).

Last season, a combined six players from the two teams had 20 or more points in Mountain Iron-Buhl’s 89-84 victory.
