Prior Lake vs. Lakeville North
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10

Prior Lake has the weapons to defeat many of Class 4A's ranked teams, but the Lakers have been unable to it so far this season. Their next chance comes Tuesday in a game at No. 7-4A Lakeville North.

With guards Riley Wheatcraft, a Northern Iowa recruit, and McKenna Hofschild each averaging more than 23 points per game, Prior Lake (7-3, 3-0) can put up points in a hurry. Hofschild, a 5-foot-3-inch sophomore guard, dropped 28 on Burnsville in a 75-63 victory on Jan. 6.

The Panthers have their own high-scoring guard in Temi Carda (16 ppg).

The Creighton commit looks to continue leading Lakeville North (9-2, 2-1) up the South Suburban Conference standings, something the Panthers did with a 55-43 victory over Rosemount last Friday. The key to the victory was holding the Irish's Maddy Olson (20.2 ppg) to 11 points.

If Lakeville North's defense can't slow Wheatcraft and Hofschild, it can turn to Carda and company for scoring. Carda had 10 points while Taylor Brown scored 16 and Ke James finished with 14 in the victory over Rosemount.
