White Bear Lake vs. East Ridge
7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10

No player averages double digits in scoring for White Bear Lake, but that’s of little importance for a Bears team used to a balanced offense. Last season, White Bear Lake reached the state tournament with just one player averaging more than nine points per game.

This season, the Bears (8-4, 4-0) are again spreading around the scoring and it's helped them enter this week tied with Cretin-Derham hall atop the Suburban East Conference standings. To stay there, While Bear Lake will need to hold off No. 6-4A East Ridge on Tuesday.

The Bears bring momentum into the matchup, having won their last two games, including a 71-60 victory against Forest Lake on Jan. 6. Adri Perron scored 20 points and Ella Janicki added 11 for White Bear Lake in the victory.

The Raptors (8-3, 2-1) would have been in the thick of the league title chase if they had not for dropped two of their last three games. In its most recent defeat, East Ridge fell to Roseville 51-42 as the Raiders held Raptors' leading scorer Noelle Tomes to 10 points. Kelen Kenol finished with 13 points and seven rebounds while Mariah Sexe added seven points and eight rebounds for East Ridge.
