Cromwell-Wright vs. Roseau
6 p.m., Friday, Jan. 6

Cromwell-Wright pushed No. 1-1A Mountain Iron-Buhl on Dec. 29 at the Mountain Iron-Buhl Tournament, but the Rangers closed the game strong for a 66-61 win -- their slimmest margin of victory yet this season.

Teana Hakamaki led the No. 5-1A Cardinals with 19 points while Taya Hakamaki had 13 and Bailey Gronner finished with 12, an offensive performance that combined with a solid defensive effort to hold down Mountain Iron-Buhl, which came into the game averaging 82.5 points per game.

Cromwell-Wright (9-1,5-0), a Class 1A state tournament entrant last season, will try to bounce back against another high-scoring team in Roseau.

The No. 1-2A Rams (10-0, 3-0) average 81.2 points per game due in part to Kiley Borowicz and Kacie Borowicz. Kacie averages 20.2 ppg while Kiley is averaging 25.6 ppg and is among the top scorers in the state.
