Cretin-Derham Hall vs. East Ridge
7:15 p.m., Friday, Dec. 16

Cretin-Derham Hall finished 8-8 in the Suburban East Conference a year ago, but the Raiders could be moving up the ranks this season behind a core of developing talent. Friday's matchup at East Ridge will give Cretin-Derham Hall a chance to show it can contend for a league title.

The No. 8-4A Raiders (5-0, 1-0) are coming off a 52-49 victory over No. 10-4A Roseville, their first conference win of the year. Cretin-Derham Hall is led by juniors Autam Mendez (13.4 ppg), Chan’el Anderson-Manning (10.2), Elizabeth Edinger (14.6) and sophomore Frannie Hottinger (14.8).

East Ridge (4-1, 1-0) finished second to White Bear Lake in the Suburban East title chase last season and expects to challenge for the league title this season.

The Raptors won all three meetings with the Raiders last season, including a 51-38 victory in the Class 4A, Section 4 semifinals.

Senior Noelle Tomes led East Ridge with 20 points in that game, but Cretin-Derham Hall held the offensively potent Mariah Sexe to five points.
