Rosemount, a Class 4A, Section 3 finalist last season, has started 3-0 and is coming off a 60-40 win over a talented Hastings team on Dec. 2.

The Irish stormed out to a 40-18 halftime lead against Hastings and finished the game with three players scoring in double figures: Nicole Elias had a team-high 16, Maddy Olson chipped in 13 and Helen Staley added 12.

Cretin-Derham Hall (2-0) also owns a win over Hastings, a 79-68 victory on Nov. 29 in which Chan’el Anderson-Manning led the way with a team-high 19 points. Elizabeth Edinger finished with 17 points, Autam Mendez had 16 and Frannie Hottinger added 14 in the win.

Rosemount won last year’s meeting 41-27, and the Irish's hot start could mean No. 16-4A Cretin-Derham Hall will have its hands full on Tuesday.
