St. Michael-Albertville vs. Hopkins
7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6

St. Michael-Albertville returns to the site of its first loss of the season for arguably the the toughest challenge off the season when they visit No. 1-4A Hopkins on Tuesday.

The No. 4-4A Knights (2-1) will likely fall in this week's rankings following a 68-47 loss to unranked Apple Valley in the Breakdown Sports Girls' Tip Off Classic at Hopkins High School, a defeat they can attribute to a poor shooting performance.

St. Michael-Albertville made just 26 percent of its field goals and Iowa State recruit Rae Johnson was held to 15 points on 5-of-18 shooting.

Working out of an offensive funk against Hopkins isn’t going to be easy. The Royals (4-0) are among the stingiest teams in the state, limiting three of their first four opponents to fewer the 40 points.

Hopkins is rolling on offense, as well. Freshman Paige Bueckers poured in 28 points in a 78-30 win over No. 8-3A Kasson-Mantorville on Saturday, her third game this season with 27 or more points.
