Kasson-Mantorville vs. Hutchinson
7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29

All-state selection Kristin Scott is back for Kasson-Mantorville, and the Iowa State commit, who averaged a double-double (24.2 points per game, 13.4 points per game) last year, will pair with Peyton Suess (10.8 ppg) to try to lead the KoMets to the state tournament out of a competitive Class 3A, Section 1.

Kasson-Mantorville fell short of making its third consecutive trip to state a season ago, and the KoMets look to avoid staying home this season by playing a rigorous schedule that begins with a road game at No. 1-3A Hutchinson on Tuesday.

Tori Wortz (16 ppg) was an all-state first-team selection last year for the Tigers and is complemented by Morgan Kurth (12.6 ppg) and Kenzie Rensch (7.2 ppg).

Hutchinson will be itching to get back to the state tournament after being upset in the Class 3A quarterfinals by Thief River Falls last season, and opening its schedule against No. 8-3A Kasson-Mantorville is an immediate test of the Tigers' championship mettle.
