Norwood Young America at Mayer Lutheran
7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 19

Mayer Lutheran has been alone atop the Minnesota River Conference standings since a 53-41 victory over Norwood Young America on Jan. 22, and Friday's game promises another fine matchup of young teams.

The Crusaders (17-5, 9-0) have an unbeaten league record entering the week and have a chance to claim the conference crown from the three-time defending league champion Raiders (19-3, 8-1).

Junior Emilee Gustin, a 5-foot-4 guard, leads Mayer Lutheran with 13.4 ppg and 5-6 sophomore Mya Chmielewski posts 11.8 ppg. Fellow sophomore Maddy Hucky averages 11.3 ppg and scored a game-high 15 points in the first matchup with Norwood Young America.

The Raiders are led by Kali Grimm (16.0 ppg), but the sophomore missed the first game against the Crusaders. Sophomore Bren Fox (9.8 ppg) stepped up to lead Norwood Young America with eight points in the loss.
