Hutchinson at Orono
7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16

This game was also a heavy favorite to be our featured Top Game, and if the first matchup between these teams was any indicator, Tuesday's game should be an instant classic.

Orono is coming off its first loss of the new year after falling to No. 5-4A Minnetonka 60-47 on Feb. 13, and the No. 1-3A Spartans don't get a break with Wright County Conference East Division foe Hutchinson next on the docket.

Junior Tori Andrew leads Orono (19-3, 7-0) with 16.5 ppg and is flanked by a talented pair of seniors in Cornell commit Danielle Jorgenson (11.1 ppg) and Marquette commit Meghan Mandel (10.1 ppg).

The No. 4-3A Tigers (18-3, 5-2) dropped their first contest against the Spartans 52-50 at home. It was the closest Orono came to losing to a team not ranked in the top 5 in Class 4A.

Leading Hutchinson in scoring is junior Tori Wortz with 17.0 ppg, but she was held to just seven points in the first matchup with the Spartans.

Junior Morgan Kurth and senior Erin Corrigan are also solid contributors, putting up 13.3 and 13.1 ppg, respectively, for the Tigers.

Orono holds a two-game lead in the league standings over Hutchinson, which lost to Waconia 66-57 on Feb. 9.
