Eastview at Shakopee
7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 19

While senior guard Taylor Koenen (20.7 ppg) rightfully draws most of the attention of opposing defenses, Shakopee is a deep team.

The No. 2-4A Sabers (21-1, 14-0) have eight players who have seen action in all 22 games while four also average 7.9 ppg or better. Junior Mateya Hutton (9.9 ppg) and Southwest Minnesota State commit senior Caleigh Rodning (13.5 ppg) are threats to score 20 points on any given night.

Eastview (20-2, 13-1) also has a solid young core, led by junior Rachel Ranke's 16.6 ppg. Junior Allie Pickrain (13.0 ppg) and sophomore Megan Walstad (11.6 ppg) to help balance the scoring for the No. 3-4A Lightning.

Both teams are playing well heading into the regular season's final weeks. The Sabers, whose only loss was to No. 1-4A Hopkins on Feb. 4, are on a four-game winning streak while Eastview has won seven straight since the 73-65 loss to Shakopee on Jan. 19.
