Shakopee at Lakeville North
7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 9

While Shakopee enters the week as the No. 1 team in the Class 4A rankings, a loss to No. 2-4A Hopkins on Feb. 4 will probably change that.

It was the first defeat of the season for the Sabers (18-1, 11-0), but they are still in control of the South Suburban Conference for now.

Lakeville North will have a chance to shake up the league standings on Tuesday when the No. 6-4A Panthers (16-4, 8-4) host the Sabers, who are a half-game ahead of Eastview for the conference lead.

Junior Temi Carda (14.6 ppg) and senior Sarah Krynski (11.6 ppg) will have to post big numbers if Lakeville North wants to get even after a 68-62 loss at Shakopee earlier this season.

They'll also have to stop North Carolina commit Taylor Koenen, the Sabers senior who posts 21.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
