Orono at Hutchinson
7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29

The No. 1-3A Spartans have been impressive all season long, even in losses to No. 1-4A Hopkins (76-69) and No. 3-4A Eastview (52-51) at the St. Olaf Holiday Hoops Classic in late December.

Outside of all-around star Tori Andrew, who not only leads Orono (14-2, 3-0) in scoring with 16.6 ppg, but usually guards the opposing team's top player on defense, the Spartans have Cornell commit Danielle Jorgenson (11.8 ppg) and Marquette commit Meghan Mandel (10.1 ppg) to help balance the offense.

Tori Wortz posts 17.2 ppg for No. 3-3A Hutchinson, but the Tigers (14-1, 3-0) also have two other players averaging double figures in scoring, with fellow junior Morgan Kurth scoring 13.1 ppg and senior Erin Corrigan chipping in 12.5 ppg.

Hutchinson's lone loss came to No. 10-2A Annandale on Dec. 22. If the Tigers can beat St. Cloud Apollo (1-12) on Tuesday, they'll bring a nine-game winning streak to the table when the Spartans come to town.
