Eastview at St. Michael-Albertville
2:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 16

Eastview makes the journey north to face St. Michael-Albertville, a trip proven to be dangerous to previous top-ranked teams.

The No. 3-4A Knights (11-1) have knocked off No.1-4A Hopkins, No. 7-4A Minnetonka, No. 8-4A Elk River and No. 9-4A White Bear Lake at home and have a chance to add another to the list when they welcome No. 4-4A Lightning (10-1) on Saturday afternoon.

St. Michael-Albertville has two Division I commits in junior Rae Johnson (Iowa State) and senior Sydney Tracy (South Dakota State) leading the charge, scoring 21.1 and 18.9 ppg, respectively.

Eastview's main threat is junior Rachel Ranke, a Kansas State commit, who leads the team at 16.7 ppg, but the Lightning feature three other players averaging in double figures.

Junior Allie Pickrain (11.0 ppg), sophomore Megan Walstad (10.6 ppg) and senior Erika Schlosser (10.5 ppg) are threats to put up 20 points at any time, which has propelled Eastivew to wins over No. 10-4 Apple Valley, No. 9-4A White Bear Lake, No. 7-4A Minnetonka, No. 5-4A Lakeville North and No. 1-3A Orono.

Eastview defeated St. Michael-Albertville 48-30 in last year's Class 4A state semifinals. The Lightning lost to Hopkins 68-60 in the championship game.
