Maple Grove at Park Center
7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27

This matchup will decide Northwest Suburban Conference West Division champion.

The Crimson (16-8, 9-1) can capture the league crown outright with victories in their final two regular-season games, including this one against the Pirates. No. 4-3A Park Center (17-7, 8-2) and Osseo (17-7, 8-2), who are tied for second place and trail Maple Grove by one game in the standings, meet on Feb. 24 with winner remaining in the hunt for a share the conference title.

The Crimson own an advantage heading into league finale, having already defeated the Pirates 47-45 on Jan. 30 as junior forward Allie Schmidt finished with 12 points and junior guard Mackenzie Barta added 11. Barta (16.5 ppg) and Schmidt (11.1 ppg) are the top scorers for a Maple Grove team with eight players who have scored in double digits at least once this season.

Park Center senior guard Hannah Schaub scored a game-high 14 points, and sophomore forward Mikayla Hayes had 13 in the loss to the Crimson. Hayes (15.8 ppg, 8.8 rpg) and Schaub (11 ppg, 3.9 apg) give the Pirates' offense balance, along with sophomore guards Ann Simonet (11 ppg) and Danielle Schaub (10.2 ppg).
