New Prague at Waconia
7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 20

New Prague is coming off resounding wins over No. 7-3A Hill-Murray (71-43), and No. 8-3A Delano (70-39), and the schedule doesn't get any easier for the No. 3-3A Trojans as they host Hutchinson before a showdown at No. 9-3A Waconia on Feb. 20.

Sophomore guard Maizie Deihl (17.8 ppg) and sophomore forward Taylor Hustad (12.3 ppg) give New Prague (18-3, 5-1) a potent duo on offense.

Waconia (13-8 4-2) is powered by senior guards Anna Schmitt (27.9 ppg in 16 games) and Kendall Eder (12.7 ppg), and junior guard Madelin Dammann (10.9 ppg). The Wildcats can gain some ground with a win in this Wright County Conference East Division matchup, as they sit a game behind the second-place Trojans in the standings.

New Prague needed overtime to defeat Waconia 83-77 on Jan. 27. Deihl scored a game-high 34 points, and Hustand had 22, while Schmidt finished with 33 and Eder 27.
